Research
Drawing on my background in engineering, technology management and economics, I study:
The microeconomic factors that shape innovation and entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurship education and youth employment
Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) and innovation policy, including the science, technology and innovation (STI) measurement frameworks that inform them
Economic implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI), with a focus on research, higher education and the private sector
My work applies quantitative and microeconometric methods to firm- and household-level data, including representative surveys I have designed and implemented. This evidence base underpins the policy analysis and evaluation I carry out for governments and international organisations.
