Welcome to the homepage of Abiodun Egbetokun
I am currently Senior Lecturer in Business Management at De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom.
I am an evolutionary economist with a background in engineering. I currently do research on the microeconomic sources and economic impact of innovation and entrepreneurship. I typically apply advanced microeconometric methods to data from developing countries. I design and implement household and firm-level surveys, including Nigeria's official science, technology and innovation (STI) surveys. I also advise governments and international development partners on issues around innovation, entrepreneurship, employment, poverty reduction, private sector development, public policy and sustainable development. My experience in these areas spans about two decades. Lately, I have developed an active research programme in industrialisation and policy impact evaluation. I also have interests in comparative analyses between developed and developing countries.
